Consolidated freight
Lots moving to the same destination are consolidated where contract terms allow. Fewer flights per kilogram is the single largest lever available to us.

Commitment one
Emissions from refining, freight and vaulting are measured per lot and reported to counterparties on request.
The approach
An annual company-level carbon figure tells a buyer nothing about the metal in front of them. We calculate emissions at the level a trade actually happens: the lot.
Three components make up almost the whole figure — refining energy, air freight, and vault conditioning. Each is calculated from actual consumption or actual freight weight and distance, not from a sector average, and each appears as a separate line so a counterparty can see where the number comes from.

Reduction

Lots moving to the same destination are consolidated where contract terms allow. Fewer flights per kilogram is the single largest lever available to us.

Partner refineries are compared on energy intensity per kilogram, not only on turnaround and charge. It is a standing criterion, reviewed annually.

Recycled and scrap feed carries a fraction of the footprint of primary production. We increase its share wherever the specification permits.

Reporting
The per-lot emissions statement is available on request and is issued alongside the assay certificate and airway bill. Counterparties reporting under their own scope-3 obligations can use it directly.
